Today was a day for a first I hoped not to have for many, many years. Today I had to take my sweet princess Sophie to the urgent care (a much better alternative than the ER) for an x-ray of her hand. Thanks to her big brother, she suffer a whack to the hand that caused her great pain. She wouldn't use or move her right hand or arm. She cried when I even mentioned looking at it. There was some minor swelling and extreme tenderness. After waiting over 2 hours at urgent care, we finally, and thankfully, learned that there were no fractures. She still won't use it (except a little when she has been dosed with Ibuprofen) and cries when I have to touch or move it. She was a little trooper though. She was none too pleased to be in the office. She kept crying and saying, "I go, I go!" Hopefully she'll be better soon.
In other Sophie news, she is going to be a big sister. We haven't told our friends or most of our family yet, but I am due around the 17th of January. I think we will wait until we get back from Hilton Head to let everybody know. Yeah....blogging about a secret probably isn't that great of an idea, but I don't have many readers on this blog, so I'm not too concerned.
My little lady has such a vocabulary now. I love how she says blankie. She calls it her "Bicky". She speaks 2 and 3 word sentences quite a bit. She is now able to run like nobody's business. She loves to eat, play with her brother, and make messes. She's my princess and a pretty girly-girl. I just love her so much. I hope she adjusts well to being a big sister and the middle child. She is so precious!!
